25th September 2011 Pennington Archers Open Field Shoot

68 archers faced a tantalisingly tricky but fair course of 2 x 20 3D's. All was set in aesthetically pleasing and natural looking locations - someone thought they actually saw the badger move!

The rain falling on Saturday made the course a little slippy under foot, but with a few strategically placed safety ropes and steps everyone negotiated it without mishap. On the day, the weather was kind and helped everyone enjoy pitting their wits against the course layers.

A huge thank you must go to the club work party for setting out the course, and to all the marshall's. Also a thank you to everyone who made the not inconsiderable effort to come and shoot with Pennington Archers in the beautiful Lakeland autumn scenery.
