Name: Mike Hartley
Bow of Choice: Spigarelli Revolution Barebow (Left-handed). I had to have this one imported from Italy because it's a difficult one to get hold of in this country. I love it
though. It was love at first sight.
Favourite Archery Colour: Blue. My bow is blue and silver, my bag is blue and grey, my wind-stopper is blue. I even had the fletchings on my X7's made blue and white, and Terry
kindly knocked me up a blue bow string. I like blue.
Archery Ambition: It's actually a 'target archery' ambition, and that's to break the 500 Portsmouth score again. My best ever is 510, but I've been nowhere near that since
having to have my shoulder re-built. I'm up around the 490's at the moment though.
Why haven't you seen me on course: I have an invisibility cloak, muct like Harry Potter. The only difference is, mine is actually a muddy table cloth with dead leaves, twigs and
bracken sewn onto it. Works a treat in the woods. Somewhat less effective in the middle of town.
Next purchase: Oh, now that is a tricky one. I'm a firm believer that the formula for the correct number of bows to own is n+1... where 'n' is the number of bows already owned.
I have a long bow, a Hungarian horse bow, a couple of recurves, and a toymaster special with suckers on the ends of the arrows. I think the next is going to have to be a compound. I know it's a dark
art, and I feel unclean just talking about it... but Matt's Oneida Black Eagle II Cantilever Compound is beautiful!
